Katharina Turi
The solutions people find for themselves in times of challenge and conflict and what supports them to grow in these situations has always been a major point of interest to me. After going through a personal crisis myself, I felt that I wanted to turn this field of interest into a career. That is when I started training to become a systemic therapist. In the course of this training, in constellations works of my own and of my fellow trainees I realised how much unresolved trauma is living on in our family systems. This revelation lead to a thorough preoccupation with trauma (individual, family and transgenerational trauma). Trainings in end-of-life care and grief counselling ensued. In my own therapeutical practice trauma therapy became more and more relevant. The creative trauma therapy (Baer and Frick-Bear) and the body-focussed approach by Dami Charf have deeply enlargened my work as a systemic therapist. This work reminds me every day how important it is to cultivate one's recources: my own being my family and friends, gardening and nature as well as professional exchange via networking, further training and supervision.
